About Kidokinetics

Kidokinetics is a fitness and sports program for children. The program teaches the basic skills of various sports with a focus on developing motor skills in a fun and non-competitive environment, while developing their coordination and self-confidence.

Now YOU can be a part of teaching kids the importance of fitness at an early age. The program is offered at various locations and classes are structured and age-appropriate for children ages 2 to 12. The classes are high energy and most importantly fun for children (and coaches)!

Programs are typically conducted at schools, day cares, parks, and private residences. Coaches are assigned a set schedule of sites that would be consistent on a weekly basis.

Our programs are offered Monday-Friday during school hours. Occasional weekend hours.

JOB SUMMARY

The coach is responsible for implementing the Kidokinetics curriculum, ensuring each child has a positive and successful Kidokinetics experience, and is responsible for the well being of each student who attends a Kidokinetics class. The coach assumes the role of coach, friend, guide, disciplinarian, and mentor. Ultimately it is the coach’s responsibility to carry out the mission of Kidokinetics: helping children enhance coordination, concentration, and gross motor skills in a fun and non-competitive environment. The coach reports directly to the Kidokinetics Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares events, activities, lessons, games, and classes in accordance with the guidelines of Kidokinetics Inc.
  • Abides by the safety guidelines of Kidokinetics Inc. at all times
  • Conducts classes in an enthusiastic, nurturing manner
  • Set up a sign and/or banner for display at the location
  • Takes care of equipment and supplies
  • Makes every effort to connect one-on-one with each child
  • Addresses concerns or special needs for children and caregivers
  • Uses online systems for reports, attendance sheets, registration forms, etc. accurately and on time
  • Is a good role model for young children physically, emotionally, and socially
  • Works as part of a team
  • Provides an environment of acceptance that supports and respects cultural differences.
  • Sets clear, consistent limits, has realistic expectations, and uses positive methods of child guidance
  • Provides opportunities for each child to develop feelings of competence, self-esteem, and a positive attitude toward physical activity and learning
  • Participates in training to improve skills and professional competencies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in sports coaching or related field working with children
  • Patience and ability to work with children of different ages and skill levels
  • Minimum of High School diploma.
  • Must pass a level-2 background check to be considered for employment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Having a reliable car is a MUST as we are a mobile program.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Ideal for people looking for stability and regular income.

Benefits:

  • The starting hourly range is $18-$22 depending on experience.

  • Paid training provided prior to teaching on your own.
  • This is a full time role (part-time option available too) of at least 20 hours and potential of 30-35 hours per week as we expand.
