Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
- Provide care and support for toddlers in the classroom
- Help students with math concepts and problem-solving skills
- Communicate effectively with parents and other staff members
- Work with students on the autism spectrum, providing individualized support as needed
- Implement behavior management strategies to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with classroom management, including maintaining a safe and organized learning space
- Utilize experience working with children to create engaging and interactive learning experiences
- Support literacy education by assisting students with reading and writing activities
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or other special needs
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom environment
- Experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting
- Familiarity with literacy education strategies and resources
