Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during dental procedures and providing quality patient care. This is a full-time position with competitive pay. Responsibilities: - Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures, ensuring cleanliness and sterilization - Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support - Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist - Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions - Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and supplies - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions - Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with medical documentation standards - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Experience: - Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred but not required - Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols - Familiarity with dental software programs such as Eaglesoft for scheduling appointments and managing patient records - Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry - Ability to take accurate vital signs and record patient information - Experience with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions is a plus - Familiarity with medical coding for insurance billing purposes If you are a dedicated Dental Assistant looking for an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic dental practice, we encourage you to apply.
