The Residential Therapist is responsible for providing therapeutic services and treatment planning for youth receiving residential treatment at KidsTLC. The therapist practices under intensive clinical supervision as needed and consistent with licensure status. The therapist provides individual, family, and group therapies, participates in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team for treatment, and supports families and stakeholders in discharge planning. Most of this position’s time is spent in therapeutic services, crisis management, client staffing, and collaborating withthe treatment team. Additional time is spent on documentation, researching, gathering, compiling, organizing, and analyzing data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
· Maintain accurate and timely documentation of intake assessment, master treatment plans, treatment plan updates, progress notes, discharge summaries, phone calls, etc. for that meets regulations of governing bodies.

INTERNSHIP/PRACTICUM SUPERVISION
· University program qualified supervisor – Clinical Director and Chief Clinical Officer
· Provided individual and/or group supervisory hours.
· Regular evaluations and communication per education program guidelines.
· Requires 1 year placement commitment pending unforeseen circumstances to extend beyond school program expectations.
· Full time employment after program completion is subject to supervisor approval and is not guaranteed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE· High school diploma or equivalent.
· College credit hours in social work, psychology, or a related mental health field from an accredited college, preferred.
· Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
· Able to accept and discuss cultural differences and respond to culturally based cues.
