Kidtastic Kids is a developmental center located in Farmingville, NY. The center has just recieved its 4410 approval and is run by "Ms. Dawn". The facility specializes in Pre-School, Infant Care, Socialization, Transition, Social Skills and now has the ability to offer 5 new special education classrooms. "Ms. Dawn" is a certified Visual Arts, Special Education, Early Intervention, and Elementary Education teacher. She recenty completed her SDL at Mercy College.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a B-2 Special Education Teacher at Kidtastic Kids in Farmingville, NY. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for teaching and supporting students with disabilities in a preschool SCIS or SC classroom setting. The day-to-day tasks will include creating and implementing lesson plans, assessing student progress, providing individualized instruction and support, and collaborating with colleagues and parents.

Training in our policies, procedures and curriculum are all provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching students with disabilities and special education
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of IEP Direct, CPSE portal and assessments

Ability to impliment BIP/FBA plans.

• Ability to create and implement lesson plans
• Ability to assess and monitor student progress
• Collaboration and teamwork skills
• Relevant certifications in Special Education or related field
• Experience with early intervention and elementary education is a plus
