Position Title: Assembly Associate
Kimball Physics is currently seeking a full-time Assembly Associate to join our team. This person will be responsible for assembling systems and sub-assemblies to precise specifications and is a will train job requiring basic skills. The applicant should have the ability to prioritize and work independently once trained.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of intricate components under a microscope and use small tools
- Assembly of components per routers, drawings, and written procedures
- Alignment of systems to meet specifications; alignment of assemblies and in-process testing
- Processing and final testing of assemblies; preparation of assemblies for shipment with supervision or involvement of other Assembly Specialists
- Accuracy of assembly is extremely critical because failure to follow proper technique may not be immediately apparent
- Problem solving with supervision
- Good organizational skills an ability to be flexible with changing work demands
- Attention to detail and quality paramount
- Ability to follow SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedure)
- Must be self-directed and able to work unsupervised
- May be required to help in other departments depending on workload
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Works with integrity and high ethical standards.
- Results-oriented and committed to quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Problem solving capabilities, with supervision as required.
- Adaptable, flexible and open-minded.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and planning and time management skills.
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
- Works independently as well as collaboratively.
- Changing work demands, requiring flexibility.
- Sitting 80% of shift.
- 1st shift, full-time, flexible schedule.
