Vehicle Mechanic Purpose: As a vehicle maintenance mechanic you will be the on-site mechanic for Kimbel's fleet trucks and trailers. This is a safety-sensitive position. Responsibilities: Troubleshoot mechanical problems Perform basic mechanic duties, which include but are not limited to: oil changes, rotating and replacing tires, replacing batteries and light bulbs, trailer repair, etc. Upload all receipts related to vehicle maintenance and repairs for 70 assets Set up appointments with dealerships and other mechanics for repairs, warranty items, and maintenance Picking up and dropping off vehicles for repair or warranty work Travel to other Kimbel warehouse shops to assist with maintenance as needed. Qualifications: Basic computer skills for record keeping Possess basic mechanic tools High level of mechanical aptitude Experience with welding preferred Ability to pull and back a trailer, or be willing to learn Basic computer knowledge and skills Effective communication with internal employees, external vendors, and suppliers Attention to detail Strong work ethic that you display daily Ability to multitask High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to work 6 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday and an occasional Saturday Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen *Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
