What Our Lead Case Manager Does:
· Review legal documents to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
· Assist attorneys in case management, including billing, docketing deadlines, and providing reminders as needed.
· Offer recommendations to attorneys on cost-effective ways to achieve client goals.
· Draft legal documents for attorney review.
· Organize and maintain case files and engagement information, electronically or in paper format, in line with firm policies.
· Provide case status updates to clients and outside counsel as requested.
· Collaborate with external vendors, staff, and attorneys to manage the firm's caseload, present case summaries/updates, and meet deadlines.
What We Need From You:
· A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Paralegal in a family law firm.
· Paralegal professional certification or advanced paralegal education (preferred).
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in law, business, or a related field (preferred).
· Self-starter capable of effectively managing multiple matters concurrently.
· Essential experience in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
· Professional experience in case management processes, ideally as a personal injury case manager, legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal in a family law firm.
· Proficiency with computer programs, including spreadsheets, word processing, and case management software.
