**Description**

Kimley-Horn is seeking a motivated Transportation Engineer/Planner to join our San Jose, CA office. This individual will support and often take the lead on various transportation planning activities. Tasks may include: developing traffic impact studies, traffic control plans, intersection control evaluations, traffic analysis, signage and striping, and other transportation related duties. Main software used by the team includes Synchro, Vissim, SketchUp and GIS in addition to other programs. Were seeking an individual interested in contributing to the growth of this practice by participating in client meetings, client communication/coordination, mentorship of junior-level staff and task management while working with a variety of individuals.

**Requirements**

* Bachelors Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering

* Registered P.E. or T.E. (or the ability to obtain within one year)

* 3 or more years of transportation engineering experience

* Proficiency in Synchro, Vissim and/or relatable transportation software

* Technical skills in transportation planning

* Experience communicating and working with clients

* Strong written and oral communication skills

* Ability to work with and balance priorities among multiple projects and project managers
