Kimley-Horn is Hiring a Project Manager - Land Development Near San Diego, CA

Overview:

Kimley-Horn's San Diego office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 5 years of experience to join their Land Development team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage land development projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present project updates and reports to clients and stakeholders.

Design and Engineering:

  • Utilize Civil3D software to design and prepare engineering plans, profiles, and details for land development projects.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Prepare and review design documents, including grading plans, utility plans, drainage plans, and erosion control plans.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize project designs and achieve project goals.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals for land development projects.
  • Ensure project designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning, stormwater management, and environmental requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure project compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development projects.
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Proficiency in using Civil3D software for design and engineering.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to land development.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Salary Range: $90,000 to $135,000
