Kimley-Horn is looking for an Experienced Public Involvement Project Manager in the Reston, Virginia (VA) office! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities:Develop and foster meaningful relationships with clients, stakeholders, and the communities we serve.
Develop and implement strategic communications and engagement plans that address the needs and include the voices of diverse communities.
Manage project outreach activities including managing public engagement, preparing presentations, communicating with community members, businesses, and organizations to explain the project scope, impacts, benefits, mitigations, etc.
Support the development and facilitation of events including public open houses, workshops, public hearings, neighborhood meetings, ground breakings, ribbon cuttings, conferences, one-on-one meetings stakeholder meetings and other public events.
Develop public-facing materials including postcards, fact sheets, emails, and announcements.
Support and monitor scheduling and production deadlines to meet internal and external client requests for communications materials.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Assist with construction coordination efforts with contractors.
Perform project management duties such as managing large tasks and projects, performing research, report writing, leading public involvement meetings, and maintaining client relations.
Develop schedules, review invoices, manage progress reports, prepare scopes, and track budgets.
Mentor and develop staff in an environment that encourages teamwork, initiative, and growth.
