Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with the lead teacher to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for our students. Your role will be to support the lead teacher in implementing educational activities and providing individualized care for children.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Provide support and guidance to students in their learning and development
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Support children with special needs, including those with autism or other developmental challenges
- Provide assistance with daily routines, such as mealtime, naptime, and toileting
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
- Engage children in literacy education, math activities, and other learning experiences

Requirements:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; CDA, associate's degree or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred
- Experience working with children, preferably in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Familiarity with special education strategies and working with children with autism or other developmental challenges
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
