ROLE SUMMARY
The Procure-to-Pay (PTP) cycle encompasses the full spectrum of activities, starting from requisitioning and purchasing goods and services and culminating in payment processing. This cycle includes tasks such as purchase requisitions, PO approvals, invoice validation, payment processing, and vendor data management. As the PTP Global Data Process Owner, reporting to the Director of Global Business Process and Integration, you will collaborate cross-functionally to design, model, execute, monitor, and innovate global end-to-end PTP processes, leveraging the ERP system.
A key role within the organization, you are responsible for streamlining and enhancing the efficiency of the procurement process from requisition to payment. By assessing current processes, pinpointing areas for enhancement, and integrating solutions within the ERP system, this role fosters a culture of continuous improvement and standardization across the function, encompassing processes, personnel, and technology. Collaborates with procurement, finance, and operations to align with business objectives and regulations. Leads ERP integration and optimization projects, overseeing acquisitions, new site implementations, and process optimizations.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Mapping and Optimization:
  • ERP Business Process Model Owner:
  • Maintain documentation of current (AS IS) business processes.
  • Document and approve future (TO BE) business processes.
  • Analyze and optimize processes to address user challenges and maximize ERP system benefits.
  • Standardize and harmonize processes across the organization using the ERP system and other P2P technology
  • Evaluate market trends for new and emerging P2P technology and best practices. Create business cases that are compelling and aligned with key stakeholders to drive continuous value.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with stakeholders across departments, including procurement, finance, operations, and legal, to align P2P processes with organizational goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on procurement best practices, policies, and procedures executed through the ERP system.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability to drive cross-functional alignment and achieve shared objectives.
Requirements Gathering & Testing:
  • Collaborate with business subject matter experts (SMEs) and end-users to gather business requirements and ensure alignment with ERP system capabilities.
  • Communicate business requirements to the ERP IT team and collaborate on design, development, and implementation.
  • Develop test plans, scenarios, and scripts in partnership with business SMEs and coordinate user acceptance testing for new implementations.
  • Lead and/or co-leads the assurance that informal testing during ERP upgrades is completed in an efficient and effective manner.
System Training & Support:
  • Lead the development and maintenance of training materials in collaboration with business SMEs, including coordination of training sessions and ongoing support to end-users.
  • Collaborate with business SMEs and ERP IT team to troubleshoot system issues and ensure data integrity.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in procurement automation.
Change Management:
  • Implement change management, in partnership with business SMEs, for new process implementations and enhancements to existing processes, identifying impacts on roles, skill sets, systems, and business controls.
  • Develop change management strategies in partnership with business SMEs to facilitate smooth transitions.
  • Communicate changes to end-users and ensure a seamless transition to new systems or optimizations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
  • 8 years in a global supply chain, procurement or finance & accounting role
  • Expertise in end-to-end PTP process, including purchasing and accounts payable.
  • Extensive experience in optimizing and innovating existing processes.
  • Proficiency in P2P systems and tools, such as ERP software, e-procurement platforms, and electronic invoicing systems.
  • Experience in ERP and/or procurement system implementation projects.
  • Proficient project management and change management skills to facilitate medium-to-large multifaceted projects using project management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
  • Results-oriented with persistence in facing complex challenges and driving accountability.
  • Ability to analyze situations and develop practical solutions independently.
  • Strong team player with the ability to develop effective working relationships across the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to communicate with IT and business team members across multiple levels & functions of the organization.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience leading large cross-functional teams through project scoping, business case development, planning & execution.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or PTP-related professional certification is a plus.
