About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer to serve as the institution's top financial leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic financial planning, budgeting, accounting, procurement, human resources, information technology, and facility management. This role involves overseeing the development of annual budget allocations, monitoring financial transactions, and serving as the internal control officer. The Vice President will also be the principal contract officer, ensuring the review and approval of all university contracts. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with diverse constituencies.Applicants must have a minimum of five years' experience as a VP or Associate VP in a higher education institution or in a senior-level financial position with similar responsibilities. A background in strategic planning, long-range financial planning, budgeting, financial reporting, and knowledge of accounting principles and standards is required. The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in business, accounting, or a related field, with a preference for an advanced degree and/or CPA certification. The role demands a team player who can lead and manage financial service units and operations, develop long-term facility plans, and provide financial analysis and support for various university initiatives. The Vice President will also be expected to respond to information requests from external entities and play a key role in the institution's financial matters.
