Job DescriptionAs a corrections officer, you will ensure the safety and welfare of adults in detention. We provide ongoing training to help you build further knowledge and skills for a career in corrections.
Duties As a Corrections Officer Include
- Monitoring adults in secure detention facilities
- De-escalating
- Responding to emergencies
- Booking adults into detention
- Release activities
- Special assignments (investigations, training officers, etc.)
- Providing and maintaining a safe and secure environment
- A valid Washington State Driver's license
- 21 years of age by the time of hire
- High school diploma or GED
- Must pass a comprehensive pre-employment background check
