Job DescriptionAs a corrections officer, you will ensure the safety and welfare of adults in detention. We provide ongoing training to help you build further knowledge and skills for a career in corrections.
Duties As a Corrections Officer Include
  • Monitoring adults in secure detention facilities
  • De-escalating
  • Responding to emergencies
  • Booking adults into detention
  • Release activities
  • Special assignments (investigations, training officers, etc.)
  • Providing and maintaining a safe and secure environment
The Minimum Licensing, Certifications, And Other Requirements Are
  • A valid Washington State Driver's license
  • 21 years of age by the time of hire
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must pass a comprehensive pre-employment background check
