Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience processing invoices and reconciling payments, is detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment. College degree or working towards degree in Accounting/Business preferred.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage vendor invoices and payments using both manual and automated processes
- Balance and reconcile invoices to vendor statements
- Maintain organized accounts payable records and file records in a timely manner
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues, including communication of invoice discrepancies to supervisor and appropriate buyers/merchandisers
- Address vendor inquiries and resolve disputes, following up with vendors and coworkers as needed
- Provide support to store associates and managers
- Other duties as assigned and directed by the supervisor
Job Requirements
- Knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures
- General ledger distribution experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Must like to work with numbers
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal, written and listening skills
- Knowledge of retail accounting a plus
