King's Way Christian Schools is Hiring an Athletic Assistant Near Vancouver, WA
We are currently seeking an Athletic Assistant to join our passionate team. This position supports the core values of King’s Way Christian Schools, possessing spiritual maturity and excellent coordination skills to support the breadth of athletic activities on campus. The successful candidate will be able to accurately attend to details while working in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Job Duties
- Support the athletic department in managing the clearing and eligibility of all coaches and athletes (Final Forms/WIAA site)
- Coordinate transportation needs for the school and athletic department, including van maintenance, clearing drivers, reservation system, general van communication, record keeping and finance reports.
- Maintain general communication with coaches, players, parents, and other staff members regarding schedules, rosters, game information and other event changes
- Assist with game management responsibilities including: handling money, preparing rosters, coordinating announcements, field/gym setup, teardown and cleanup for events, and game supervision.
- Planning and coordinating awards ceremonies for athletes, including Senior night and end of season banquets. Duties include printing participation and academic achievement awards, all-league recognitions, distributing varsity letters, ordering flowers, arranging photography, communicating with families, distributing questionnaires to senior athletes, and assisting with writing senior night scripts.
- Creation of newsletter pages using Canva to communicate Athletic schedules and important information to MS and HS families.
- Maintaining up-to-date rosters and schedules for all sports teams & helping communicate information to teachers and staff.
- Coordinate the clearance and background checks of coaches, volunteers, and van drivers.
- Tracking of athletic equipment and supplies, organizing storage, and maintaining accurate inventory records, and managing inventory check in and out process.
Education, Experience, And Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent;
- Commitment to the mission, vision, and core values of King’s Way Christian Schools;
- Excellent organization, punctuality, and time management skills;
- Demonstrated success working with a variety of customers, working as a team, and in a dynamic and demanding environment;
- Familiarity with WIAA regulations and processes;
- Experience working in Final Forms, Team Snap, MaxPreps or other related athletic management software preferred;
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
- Experience working in an educational environment preferred;
- The candidate selected for this position will be required to pass a pre-employment background check;
- Reports to Athletic Director
