Kingdom Collegiate Academies - Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship is Hiring a Student Success Coordinator Near De Soto, TX

Summary

Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrative team members to develop and execute personalized learning support plans for students with various learning differences, medical diagnoses, and academic challenges, and possess strong analytical and communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

(Other duties may be assigned)

•Closely monitor the progress of students identified as being at risk for adequate academicgrowth.

•Conducting regular assessments and providing updates to parents and teachers across bothcampuses. A number of assessments will require exceptional special education training.

•Develop and maintain good rapport with colleagues, parents, students, and church ministries topromote a positive learning environment.

•Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a high-dosage tutoring program

•Support the efforts for students to receive effective and targeted support to address theirspecific learning needs.

•Administer effective tutoring sessions for students in need of additional academicsupport at both campuses.

•Facilitate the administration of effective tutoring sessions for students in need ofadditional academic support at both campuses. Understanding a number of thetutoring sessions will be done by high school students, and volunteers

•Support the implementation of the Academic Olympics, Writers Club, and other academicenrichment initiatives at Kingdom Collegiate Academies.

•Provide guidance and resources to participating students and teachers.

•Contribute to the curation of resource lists for community resources, support groups, andassociations related to student learning and special needs.

•Provide opportunities for student engagement in competitions, and clubs that willcontribute to their academic and personal growth.

•Participate in professional development training.

•Assist in organizing and facilitating training sessions for teachers on topics related topersonalizing learning support and differentiating education to meet student needs.

•Support efforts to create opportunities for students working significantly abovegrade level to achieve their highest academic potential.

Diversity - Demonstrate knowledge of EEO policy. Show respect, sensitivity, and appreciation for cultural differences. Demonstrate the ability to address the various learning styles of students. Educate others on the value of diversity.

Ethics – Inspire the trust of others by keeping commitments and working with integrity and ethically. Uphold organizational goals.

Interpersonal Skills – Create and maintain a climate of respect and fairness for all students. Focus on solving conflict, not blaming. Maintain confidentiality. Listen to others without interrupting. Keep emotions under control and value constructive feedback.

Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as grade averages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Present numerical data effectively.

Oral Communication – Ability to communicate primarily in English. Speak clearly and persuasively in positive and/or negative situations. Listen and gets clarification in order to respond questions. Demonstrate group presentation skills.

Planning/Organizing - Prioritize and plans work activities. Plan for additional resources. Set goals and objectives. Develop realistic action plans.

Problem-Solving – Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and demonstrates the ability to develop alternative solutions. Gather and analyze information to develop alternative solutions. Work well in group problem-solving situations.

Professionalism –Approach others in a tactful manner by showing respect and consideration regardless of status or position. React well under pressure by keeping emotions under control. Represents the school in a favorable and professional manner to the constituency and general public whether on or off duty.

Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Teamwork - Balance team and individual responsibilities. Exhibit objectivity and openness to others' views and ideas by seeking the counsel of administrators and colleagues as needed. Maintains a teachable attitude..

Contribute to building a positive team spirit. Put the success of the team above your own interests. Support everyone's efforts to succeed.

Written Communication - Write routine reports and other correspondence clearly and informatively and can vary writing style to meet needs using Standard English. Edit work for spelling and grammar. Able to read and interpret documents such as lesson plans, procedure manuals, and safety rules.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the capacity to work with a wide range of students, including those with diverse learning needs, learning differences, medical diagnoses, academic challenges, and students with the capacity to work significantly above their current grade level. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, teachers, and administrative team members. Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with others and work as part of a team.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field is required. The successful candidate must complete the Christian philosophy of education in service.

Computer Skills

Must demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point
