**Job Overview:** We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food service industry and a proven track record of success in management roles. The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving business growth. **Duties:** - Oversee all aspects of shift management, including scheduling, labor management, and timekeeping. - Assist in the management of the restaurant team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. - Ensure that all food safety and quality standards are met, and that all kitchen staff are following proper food preparation and presentation procedures. - Manage inventory and supplies, and maintain an organized and clean store environment. - Demonstrate expertise in food preparation and presentation, and assist with menu development and execution. - Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of coffee and its preparation, as well as other specialty beverages. - Work closely with the General Manager to manage and maintain the Aloha POS system, as well as other point-of-sale systems. - Assist with the management of the restaurant's finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. - Ensure that all staff members are knowledgeable about and comply with company policies and procedures. - Foster a positive and productive work environment, and lead by example. - Provide exceptional customer service, and resolve any customer complaints in a prompt and professional manner. **Experience:** - A minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role in the food service industry. - Proven experience in shift management, team management, and inventory control. - Strong knowledge of food safety and quality standards. - Experience with food preparation and presentation. - Familiarity with coffee and specialty beverages. - Proficiency with Aloha POS and other point-of-sale systems. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and leadership skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. - A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business growth.
