Job Summary:

The Contract Manager will prepare, track, and make common edits to services contracts. Review client form agreements for compatibility with company standards and assist with various licensing application management activities. The contract Manager will provide a consistent point of contact for both internal and external parties to plan, update, and execute legal agreements.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manages the day-to-day workflow of contracts.
  • Prepares and assists with legal documents.
  • Conducts or assists with legal research for as directed.
  • Maintains and updates legal and codes library, and other resources.
  • Ensures legal files are maintained and destroyed in compliance with record retention policies and procedures.
  • Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress.
  • Monitor contracts and move forward with close out, extension or renewal according to what’s best for the company.
  • Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract related matters.
  • Identify and resolve contract related issues that may arise with other parties and internally with the company itself.
  • Serves as backup for office functions including managing mail; and printing or copying documents.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of administrative proceedings and documentation.
  • Thorough understanding of proper maintenance of all legal records.
  • Superior proficiency in administrative tasks.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, English, or related field preferred.
  • Paralegal certification helpful but not required.
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in transactional practice in corporate or real estate environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
