WHAT IS AUXILIARY?
An umbrella term that covers any activity not included in the regular Kingsley school day.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Kingsley Montessori School is seeking enthusiastic and experienced educators to support our P3 – Grade 6 classrooms, and teach after school programs. Roles are available in both our Early Childhood (P3-K) and Elementary (GR 1-6) classrooms. As an After School Program Teacher, the individual will share responsibility for the After School Program student experience and develop strong partnerships with colleagues and parents. We seek reflective, intentional educators who are looking to contribute to a progressive, integrated curriculum informed by Montessori pedagogy and principles, and helping to maintain a safe and enriching learning environment for their students.
Responsibilities include:
This is a part-time position, with attendance at staff meetings and occasional night / weekend events outside of regular hours.
Regular Hours: Monday - Friday, 2:00 - 6:00 PM, or as agreed upon with the Director of Auxiliary Programs.
After School Teachers report to the Director of Auxiliary Programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with and/or an interest in learning more about Montessori pedagogy [American Montessori Society (AMS) / Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) teaching credentials are a plus but are not required]
