Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining the overall order and cleanliness of all church administrative
buildings, parking lot, and outdoor common areas.

Duties:

• cleaning of all interior common church areas, to include windowsills; panes-interior and exterior, weekly vacuuming and dusting, monthly baseboards;
• assuring all restrooms are clean, sanitized, stocked with needed supplies;
• removal of all trash from inside buildings to the outside bins; ensure bins are on the street for City pick up and returned to their proper place;
• assists in the set up and cleaning of the fellowship hall for any Church related event, such as, Wednesday night suppers;
• notify church secretary of any needed custodial or other supplies.
• other routine building and grounds maintenance tasks, such as monthly changing HVAC filters, replacement of light bulbs and returning premises to a neat and orderly state following services and events pressure washing, blowing, mulch clean up on the playground.
• assist church volunteers with loading and unloading of supplies.

Skills:

• Experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work preferred
• Knowledge of floor care techniques, including mopping and vacuuming
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuums or floor scrubbers
• Must demonstrate adequate knowledge of cleaning, maintaining, and caring for buildings and grounds
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of duties
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good communication skills to interact with staff, members, and visitors in a professional manner
