Kinsa is recruiting for a: Contract Manufacturing Sales DirectorLocation: Remote - USA Position Summary:If you're a results-driven sales professional with a proven track record of success in service driven sales, then this could be the opportunity for you. We're seeking someone confident, passionate, and motivated.
As the Contract Manufacturing Sales Director, you will be the driving force behind B2B sales strategies and food manufacturing customer relationships. Your role will be a dynamic blend of long-term strategic planning and short-term, hands-on sales activities across various product production capabilities. (There are no direct reports to this role.)With your leadership, you will drive sales efforts, manage key food and beverage manufacturing accounts, negotiate contracts, and foster robust customer relationships. Your ultimate goal will be to exceed annual sales and profit targets.
In addition to that, you will have an in-depth understanding of the company's manufacturing capabilities, services, customer base, sales cycle, and industry trends, positioning yourself as a recognized expert in these areas.
This role offers a unique mix of strategy, leadership, and vibrant customer interaction, making every day a rewarding challenge.
  • Successful candidates MUST HAVE sales experience within food or beverage Contract Manufacturing and an understanding of food or beverage manufacturing capabilities.
Compensation/Benefits:
  • $150,000 – $175,000 base salary

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies that will build profitable customer relationships.
  • Set sales objectives through monthly forecasting and create yearly sales volume and profit projections for current and new customers.
  • Identify and capitalize on new profitable business opportunities as a contract manufacturer of other food companies' products in salad dressings, juices, dips/spreads, bars, etc.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Oversee key food manufacturing and food service accounts and cultivate relationships with key players, providing strategic and tactical guidance from customer feedback and market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, i.e. commercialization & product development, to align and support sales initiatives.
  • Lead the joint creation of account business plans, deliver yearly customer plans, and conduct regular customer business reviews.
  • Prepare and present sales presentations, facilitate product sampling, and draft proposals for current and new products/services. Inform clients about the benefits and features of available products/services.
  • Contribute actionable ideas based on best practices in other manufacturing businesses.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in sales management, with 10 years of experience in a similar contract manufacturing services role.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, focused on results.
  • Knowledgeable in sales techniques and customer-focused best practices.
  • Experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in Google and CRM software.
