- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions including but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Interviews, hires, trains and manages finance staff.
- Reconcile bank statements and enter month-end transactions.
- Timely file monthly sales and use tax returns.
- Process check runs as needed and mail checks to Customers.
- Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
- Audit accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinate with outside auditors and provide needed information for the annual external audit.
- Assist in generating monthly billing statements.
- Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Required Experience: Minimum four years of related experience.
- Preferred: Certified Public Accountant designation.
- Reliable and extremely trustworthy.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related programs.
- Familiar with QuickBooks and able to learn other accounting software systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computer, 10-key calculator, and copier.
