POSITION OVERVIEW

The Manager of Talent Attraction is responsible for developing new, innovative, and competitive recruiting strategies, processes, and programs that support business objectives to enable the attraction and acquisition of a qualified talent pool.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for coordinating and supporting the talent attraction process, including recruitment, employer branding, and candidate experience.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing innovative recruitment strategies to attract diverse, high-quality candidates while ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive talent attraction strategy aligning with the organization's talent goals and objectives.
  • Establishing and developing key strategic relationships and partnerships with business and community leaders to develop, lead, and manage the staffing process.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, and selection days.
  • Identify and prioritize key talent acquisition initiatives, such as candidate pipelines, employer branding, and recruitment marketing, to drive business results.
  • Responsible for proactively sourcing and establishing a talent pool through internal and external vehicles, including but not limited to cold-calling/resume searches, networking, business relationships, and partnerships, technology including digital and social media, employee referrals, internal movement, and other creative sourcing venues.
  • Manages recruitment's digital and social media presence and works closely with internal stakeholders to create, establish, and maintain effective recruitment tools and marketing materials.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to advertise all open positions and create engaging job postings and marketing campaigns to attract a qualified talent pool.
  • Reviews and analyzes reports on employment activity. Makes recommendations to leadership and assists with retention planning.
  • Design and implement innovative recruitment programs, such as referral programs, employee ambassadors, and social media campaigns, to attract top talent.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, including external recruiters, agencies, and vendors, to ensure access to top talent.
  • Establish and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent, including social media, employee referrals, job boards, and other channels.
  • Create and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including hiring managers, recruiters, and HR teams.
  • Analyze and report recruitment metrics, including time-to-hire, source of hire, and candidate satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop and execute internal communications campaigns to promote company culture and benefits.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining employer brand assets, including job descriptions, job postings, and career websites.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in talent attraction and recruitment marketing.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and committees to drive business results.
  • Assist in managing the recruitment process from start to finish, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
  • Develop and manage budgets for recruitment initiatives, including agency fees, advertising, and other expenses.
  • Analyze data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of our recruitment strategies and make data-driven decisions.
  • Continued understanding of the competitive job market and ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Conducts surveys, interviews, and other research on talent policies, compensation, and other labor negotiations; collects information and reports results to Human Resources Leadership.
  • Coaches and advises employees and management through sensitive Talent issues to resolve conflict and seek workable solutions.
  • Conducts individual and/or group facilitation to foster an internal employee referral pipeline with effective communication and healthy workplace relationships among employees and management.
  • Prioritize and manage relevant Talent requests and communicate best practices and solutions to common challenges across school sites.
  • Act as a liaison with employment, temporary agencies, advertising agencies, and community partners.
  • Attend and actively participate in recruitment and networking events such as job fairs, College career days, agency-sponsored events, community and business partner events etc.
  • Purchases marketing materials, coordinates advertising contracts, and is responsible for processing invoices related to recruitment.
  • Conducts recruiting and onboarding interviews regarding employee experience and investigates matters that do not align with KIPP or adhere to the law or our organization’s policies.
  • Uses surveys, interviews, and other studies to research talent policies, compensation, and other employment issues. After analyzing the information, make recommendations on changes, adjustments, or enhancements.
  • Collaborates with HR Leadership Team to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.
  • Creates and maintains dashboards and other regular reports that answer questions for key stakeholders and provide insight into employee, school, and regional talent performance.
  • Work closely with the People Operations Manager: HRIS to create custom tools to support high-quality data analysis and action planning from talent management.
  • Serve as an expert in employee experience, national trends, and best practices in the use of data to inform organizational talent strategy.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University is required. A degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is a plus.
  • Proven experience in Recruitment, Sales, or HR is strongly desired
  • Deep understanding of the competitive job market, strong relationships with key stakeholders, and the ability to drive results-oriented initiatives.
  • Ability to effectively advise, coach, interact, and navigate crucial conversations, including a demonstrated understanding of negotiation techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop productive working relationships with stakeholders across functional and organizational lines
  • Understanding of working directly with students, preferably required in the charter, private, or public school environment.
  • Prior experience working in schools and urban communities is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule outside of regular business hours including night and weekend hours as necessary.
  • Aptitude to create and work within an inclusive environment that honors and supports a diversity of backgrounds and perspectives.

Salaries are determined using an equitable compensation scale that accounts for years of experience relevant to the role and longevity within the KIPP network. KIPP Capital Region will evaluate and determine the step/level a new hire will be placed within our teacher salary scale at point of hire.
