Job DescriptionKIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks an academic interventionist who will focus on reading for 9th - 12th grade students at KIPP Bold City High School. The interventionist focuses on supporting students as an extra layer of support beyond their core academic instruction. The interventionist role includes but is not limited to, pulling small groups, tracking academic progress, ensuring students are accessing blended learning pieces that support their growth, partnering with classroom teachers to ensure student interventions are effective, and other duties as assigned.
All teachers are responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing our curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with our families, and other duties as assigned. Full teacher responsibilities are ultimately outlined by their School Leader.
Because the interventionist supports the RtI process for multiple grade levels, the model and schedule can vary slightly.

- KIPP Impact Academy: Kindergarten - 4th grade, 6th - 8th grade
- KIPP VOICE Academy: Kindergarten - 8th grade
- KIPP Bessie Coleman Academy: Kindergarten - 8th grade
- KIPP Bold City High School: 9th - 12th grade
- K-8 Staff: 7:30am - 4:30pm K-8 Students: 8:00am - 3:30pm, Wednesday K-8 dismissal is at 1:30pm
- High School Staff: 6:45am - 3:45pm, High School Students: 7:15am - 2:30pm, Wednesday High School dismissal is at 12:30pm.

Compensation & Benefits
- Our current starting salary for a first-year lead teacher is $50,000*

- To support teacher practice and their growth, all lead teachers receive individualized coaching and professional development
- This role will be eligible for instructional stipends like TSIA and Milage - which equated to about $15,000 for NTK employees in the 2023-24 school year.
- Benefit packages are subject to change each school year. Full terms would be outlined in an offer letter if issued
- Bachelor's Degree
- Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Equivalent (English 6-12)
- Reading endorsement reflected on FL teaching certificate
- At least two years of teaching experience with a proven track record of high achievement in the classroom

- Possesses a deep commitment to both racial and educational equity for all children
- Passing a background check, as required by law.
- Ability to demonstrate results from small group instruction
- ESOL endorsement or one 60-point workshop completed in Florida
- Additional certifications in ESE K-12
- Three or more years of teaching experience with a proven trackrecord of high achievement in the classroom
