Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team. As a Bistro Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, managing food production, and ensuring the highest quality of culinary offerings. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a passion for the food industry.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the kitchen Bistro team, providing guidance and support
- Plan and execute menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our customers
- Ensure efficient food production and maintain high standards of quality
- Oversee inventory control to minimize waste and ensure proper stock levels
- Collaborate with other departments, such as the dietary department, to meet customer needs
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper sanitation practices
- Train and mentor Bistro kitchen staff on culinary techniques and best practices
- Stay updated on industry trends and new cooking techniques
Skills:
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Extensive knowledge of kitchen operations, including food production and inventory control
- Experience in kitchen management, preferably in a restaurant or similar setting
- Deep understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent culinary skills with a focus on quality and presentation
