Kirkland's is Hiring an Associate Buyer Drop Ship Near Brentwood, TN
OverviewThe Drop Ship Associate Buyer manages all buying processes to achieve sales, margin and productivity. They are responsible for strategy, assortment planning, product selection, vendor negotiation, pricing, promotion and marketing of assigned categories. This position reports directly to the DMM and works closely with the entire Buying team to deliver a curated, cohesive assortment that supports the Kirkland’s Home brand aesthetic.

- Ensures tightly curated assortment aligns with customer needs, is data driven, and supports the broader Kirkland’s Home brand aesthetic.
- Executes sales, margin and sku productivity for assigned category(s).
- Develops and maintains relationships with vendors and interacts with the vendor community within Kirkland’s standards of codes and ethics.
- Consistently seeks new knowledge of industry and competitor market trends as it relates to their assigned categories.
- Performs competitive shopping and analyze sales trends for potential product line additions.
- Partners with the Planner to forecast accurate category sales and margin potential as well as promotional performance.
- Works with Site Operations and Marketing as needed to provide accurate information regarding products, pricing and promotions on the website.
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3- 5 years of experience in corporate retail buying and merchandising.
- Merchandising, product selection and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in the use of desktop applications and Windows-based programs
- Retail math literacy and application of concepts to daily operations.
- Ability to maintain and build strong working relationships.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to travel as needed.
