Kirtland is looking for the next member of our team at the Biggby Coffee shop at Kirtland’s Grayling campus. Duties include drink and food preparation, cleanup, reconciliation of cash registers, participating in inventory counts, and performing general merchandising functions.Current hours of operation: Monday through Friday: 6:30am - 3:00pmShift times may vary.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Makes and serves beverages, such as coffee and tea, and foods, such as sandwiches, muffins, or cookies.Welcomes customers, informs them about specials or new items, answers questions, and accepts orders and payments.Cleans and restocks work and dining areas, empties trash, and sanitizes equipment and utensils.Updates signage and displays to attract customers.Takes inventory and replenishes items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter.Provide product suggestions and assist customers with special orders.Stocks products and product displays according to merchandising standards.Maintains a clean and organized environment. Adheres To all food safety regulations and quality controls.May be required to assist in other auxiliary services departments as needed, including the bookstore, cafeteria, and grill. Performs other related tasks as required.

SupervisionWorks under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Auxiliary Services. AttendanceIndividuals in this position are expected to be generally available throughout the calendar year during the normal business hours of the college, and may occasionally be asked to work overtime. Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department.
