Job Description Summary
22.75 - 44.50 USD Hourly
Actual compensation will be determined based on various factors including qualifications, education, experience, and location. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.

- New products development from initial concept through technical research/design/manufacture to product launch
- Responsible for activities associated with a product or product line at all stages of its lifecycle
- Brainstorm ideas to develop new products.
- Study POS data, sales analysis to have a good grasp market need.
- Market research to understand/read current trends.
- Design sketches for new products, obtain similar samples to begin sourcing.
- Get quotations and samples from vendors. Check quality and cost. Compare if we have reasonable COG.
- Create Smartsheet project, kickoff PPT, quote comparison to officially submit newly launching items’ plan.
- Open CSR for package design. Brainstorm concept and share with creative team.
- Constantly communicate with vendors to ensure project gets going and production quality. Check initial production schedule, ETA/ETD.
- Constantly communicate with other departments to inform any change, to issue PO, to approve new items and to promote the items with good strategy.
- Search for new qualified vendors. If new vendor is found, submit new vendor request and perform new vendor audit.
- Discuss and survey the product with consumers through vendor. Survey could be done on many criteria, such as colors and functions of products.
- Improve sales and COGs of current selling item and optimize item assortment
- Review sales analysis to check the sales of each items and trend.
- Maintain ideal product assortment of each category.
- Update the material status (MS change) according to sales.
- Gathering user requirements and designing product or developing enhancements, including technical design services, when appropriate
- Product packaging, sample and prototype development
- Researching and developing strategies to maximize product/brand appeal to target customers
- Monitoring product performance and directing product and/or marketing adjustments
- Revamp products or products’ package artwork to enhance its function and sales.
- Maintain COT with detailed specification and standard AQL to control the quality of specific product.
- Resolve QIR with the vendor and persuade the vendor to prevent or minimize future defect.
- Prepare documents/product samples for sales meetings
- Build sales presentation and introduce new products to sales team
- Follow up feedbacks from sales meetings and support if needed
