Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our team. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed cabinet and countertop drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software. You will work closely with project managers and other team members to develop accurate and precise designs for various kitchen and bath layouts.

Duties:

- Create detailed 2D and 3D models of cabinet and countertop layouts using CAD software such as Cabinet Vision

- Interpret and analyze technical specifications, blueprints, and schematics

- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop design concepts

- Perform calculations and simulations to ensure the feasibility and functionality of designs

- Conduct design reviews to gather feedback and make necessary revisions

- Generate accurate and comprehensive documentation, including bill of materials (BOM) and manufacturing instructions

- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production processes

- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in CAD technology, and best practices

Requirements:

- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of design principles

- Proficiency in using CAD software, such as autocad, cabinet vision or other architectural design software to create 2D and 3D models

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical specifications, and schematics

- Experience with precision measuring tools, such as calipers, for accurate measurements

- Familiarity with CAM programming for CNC machines is a plus

- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is preferred

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate designs

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
