Position Summary

Transportation analysts are entry-level transportation planners and engineers focused on building foundational skills that prepare them for successful consulting careers. Analysts spend most of their time working on a wide variety of planning and engineering projects, through which they hone their interests in the field and develop sound consulting principles through meeting deadlines, communicating proactively and effectively, and thinking critically beyond a task.

Transportation analysts join Kittelson from many backgrounds, with the common thread of a passion for transportation and a desire to learn and grow. We seek candidates with a bachelor’s degree or higher and the ability to thrive in a self-directed environment, effectively manage and prioritize time, think critically through complex problems, make timely and informed recommendations, and build trust with clients and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary and benefits that include comprehensive employer-paid health insurance, a flexible PTO program (in addition to parental leave), an outstanding retirement program, and a culture that seeks and values diversity and inclusion.

Base salary plus retirement range for this position is determined by candidate’s educational experience and location.

We also recognize the performance of all staff through a performance bonus program based upon each individual’s contributions to key areas that lead to the achievement of our collective goals.
