We are actively seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for our Adolescent and Young Adult Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP). This a full-time position that would start in the fall of 2024. Kiwi Recovery offers an excellent opportunity for both experienced PMHNPs and new graduates with a minimum of three years of RN psychiatry experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess clients' mental health and substance use status, risk assessment, and H&P.
- Formulate differential diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and evidence-based guidelines.
- Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications to treat clients' mental health conditions.
- Educate clients and their families about medication management, potential side effects, and medication interactions.
- Provide psychoeducation, counseling, and therapeutic interventions to support clients' recovery and well-being.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including therapists, social workers, and counselors, to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
- Document all clinical encounters, treatment plans, progress notes, and medication prescriptions in a timely and thorough manner.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and primary care providers, to ensure integrated and coordinated care.
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Partial Hospitalization experience required.
- Experienced candidates preferred; new graduates with a minimum of three years RN psychiatry experience considered
- Active Massachusetts license
