Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with extensive experience in Big Data technologies and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-level applications that harness the power of Big Data on the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and implementation of Java-based applications integrating with Big Data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark) on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance applications to handle large-scale data processing.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency on cloud environments.
• Implement security measures and data protection protocols across applications and services.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in production, providing timely resolution and root cause analysis.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in Big Data and Cloud computing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 8-12 years of hands-on experience in Java development, with deep understanding of core Java concepts and design patterns.
• Strong proficiency in building and optimizing Big Data applications using Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks.
• Extensive experience designing and deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including familiarity with GCP services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, etc.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native principles and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Expertise in both SQL and NoSQL databases, with demonstrated experience in data modeling and schema design.
• Proven track record of delivering scalable, fault-tolerant systems in production environments.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, automation, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor junior team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other relevant cloud certifications.
• Experience with streaming data technologies (Kafka, Spark Streaming, etc.).
• Knowledge of machine learning and data analytics concepts.
• Previous experience in financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
