DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Preschool Director. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our preschool, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for young learners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for creating a positive and enriching experience for both children and their families.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Administration: Develop a deep understanding of the mission and vision of the school. Ensure the well-being and operational success of the school. Maintain a positive work environment. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the preschool.

Parent and Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with parents. Organize and facilitate regular communication, including parent-teacher conferences and events.

Staff Management and Development: Recruit, hire, and train teachers and staff. Establish and sustain a motivated and enthusiastic team. Conduct regular evaluations and provide feedback to ensure staff development. Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture.

Safety and Compliance: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children and staff. Stay informed about and ensure compliance with relevant licensing and accreditation standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 5 years of experience in preschool environment as a Director
• Prior experience with Constructivist (Reggio Emilia, Montessori, Waldorf etc.) philosophy for early childhood education
• Bilingual is a plus (English and Spanish)
• Valid Florida Director credential
• DCF background screening requirements
• Master’s Degree or Bachelor's Degree in child development or early childhood education from an accredited college or university
• Knowledge of licensing and accreditation requirements
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, nurturing attitude
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• High level of computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, email)
• In person (no remote, no hybrid)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
