Mazama High School is seeking an innovative and engaging math and science teacher to design and implement lessons aligned with Common Core State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards that promote a positive academic mindset. Ideal candidates will regularly incorporate discussion and activities into their lessons, collaborate with peers in PLCs, and work with students to pursue growth in academics and character.

Depending upon the hirees endorsement, math classes can range from Algebra I to College Algebra and science classes can include Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry and Anatomy.

Primary Function:

To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program, as designated by the Klamath County School District, in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.

COMPENSATION:

• 190 day contract
• Family medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance
• 6% PERS paid by District
• $44,337 base salary 2021/2022 (2022/2023 salary dependent upon contract negotiations)
