FUNCTION: 

To assist the Head Cook-Manager in all aspects of managing a kitchen (preparing, cooking, serving and clean up).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with food preparation.
• Assist with record keeping.
• Assist with clean up.
• Must be responsible to identify reimbursable meals.
• Must be responsible to follow all food safety and health practices.
• May be responsible for various record keeping duties.
• May be responsible for accurate computer input.
• May be responsible for counting and reconciling money and accounts.
• May be responsible for assisting in supervision student workers.
• May be responsible for assuming Head Cook-Manager’s position in their absence.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervision of students in the cafeteria.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Must adhere to District COVID requirements. 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Experience in a cafeteria setting or related field.
• Current food handler’s card.
• Experience working with children.
• Previous computer experience.

RATE OF PAY:

$15.45 per hour
