Role: Acute Dialysis, RN
Location: Dixon, IL
Duration: Full Time
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current in state License as a Registered Nurse
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required
6-12 months dialysis experience required
Hemodialysis experience and Peritoneal Dialysis experience preferred
JOB FUNCTION:
Performs hemodialysis treatments in accordance with approved facility policies and procedures as well as regulation set forth by the company, state and federal agencies.
Prior to initiation of dialysis, ensures dialysis machine, its alarms, and all products used during treatment are prepped and meet quality standards.
Admission and ongoing assessments of patients utilizing physical and psychosocial assessment skills, diagnostic data, and medical evaluations.
Documents care provided and patient responses to care in appropriate forms in the patient's record.
Implements nursing actions and medical orders to meet complex needs of patients and significant others, taking into account their age specific psychosocial and educational needs.
Complete and document monthly review of patient medication profiles and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
Participate as a member of the Interdisciplinary team in all required patient assessment and care planning activities.
Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment.
