Quincy Medical Group (QMG) has an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join our team. QMG is a multi-specialty group practice with more than 155 physicians and providers in West Central Illinois, Southeast Iowa, and Northeast Missouri. The Accountant will assist the Controller, CFO, colleagues, and internal/external customers in their tasks. Responsible for preparing a variety of general ledger journal entries, performing corrections, and adjustments to ensure the general ledger accurately reflects our business activity in accordance with GAAP and industry standards. Occasionally provide support for the QMG payroll specialist.

This is a salary, exempt position. Normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work location is in Quincy, IL.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills and experience to include excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Knowledgeable on GAAP and industry standards. Display integrity and confidence when performing various accounting tasks that require independent judgement.

A bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and QMG experience required. General accounting and computer experience with strong grasp of fundamental accounting principles preferred.
