We’re looking for a dedicated Drafting / Design Technician for our structural team in our Quincy, Illinois office who recognizes the importance in how accurate and clear drawings play, at a multidisciplinary firm like Klingner. You’ll be working in the office, as well as some field work, assisting a strong team of structural engineers on a wide-range of projects.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to engineers by preparing clear and accurate drawings at different project stages from schematic through construction documents.
• Ability to create floor plans, elevations, details, sections, sketches, and diagrams.
• Must be proficient at detailing all views and dimensions necessary for construction.
• Coordinate with office staff members, clients, and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Qualified applicants must have an Associate’s Degree Certificate in drafting / design.
• Excellent and proficient understanding of Revit is required.
• Skillful knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Applicants should have knowledge of software like Bluebeam, Revu 20, and Adobe Acrobat for checking shop drawings and making mark-ups.
• Must have a solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with architecture and engineering terminology.
• Experience in preparation of engineering / architectural plans, and construction documents is required.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Organizing, prioritizing, and performing work assignments with minimal supervision.
