Knightwerx is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing R&D team. In this position, you will work within a multi-disciplinary engineering team to develop small unmanned electric aircraft from the ground up. We operate in a fast-paced development environment that balances innovation and ingenuity with practicality and reliability. You will be involved in every aspect of the engineering process from clean-sheet design and prototyping to flight testing and manufacturing.

Work Experience
· Bachelor's or higher degree in relevant engineering discipline
· 2 or more years experience designing and developing electrical hardware
· Experience with full product development lifecycle from concept development through manufacturing

Primary Duties and Tasks
· Owns design, development, and test of the avionics hardware including digital and analog circuits, power electronics, sensors, and RF links
· Design and develop clean-sheet circuit boards including requirement definition, schematic design, board layout, board bring up, and trouble shooting
· Develop wiring harnesses and associated documentation
· Design and fabricate R&D hardware/test setups and support flight testing as necessary
· Work with vendors to fabricate or procure hardware
Skills and Expertise
· Experience with circuit design, fabrication, and testing
· Experience with industry standard design tools (Altium, Kicad, Eagle, etc)
· Knowledgeable in common protocols (CAN, UART, I2C, SPI, etc)
· Demonstrated knowledge of power electronics, RF links, and embedded systems
· Ability to prototype and rework electronics hardware including SMD soldering, wiring harness fabrication, etc.
