Knot Springs is Hiring a Senior Coordinator- Movement Near Portland, OR

As a Sr. Coordinator, your main objective is to support the General Manager to provide a 5-star experience for all members and guests. You will work with the General Manager to meet business goals and supervise staff. You will assist with interviewing and onboarding, facilitate performance management, publish weekly schedules, and approve and manage employee time clocks. Your leadership and hospitality will make you a master of the Knot Springs experience. Keep your team accountable and well-supported with strong communication skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback as needed. 

Senior Movement Coordinator

Full Time/40 hours per week

Hourly Commission

Reports to: General Manager

Job Duties/Tasks

  • Support all staff development ranging from daily check-ins to performance management under the direction and guidance of the GM. 
  • Lead with compassionate leadership, strong coaching, ongoing mentoring, delegation, and team building. 
  • Curate professional connections and create relationships with members and teammates. 
  • Assist the General Manager by implementing training and upholding Knot Springs’ performance and communication standards. 
  • Assist the General Manager in meeting business goals by efficient use of labor and products.
  • Execute value-based training and development plans for each team member by providing feedback, and offering opportunities for professional development and growth.
  • Enact exceptional customer service standards, KPOs, and PM for your departments through the KS brand identity lens, and guided by the GM.
  • Work with Human Resources to recruit and staff your department.
  • Responsible for ongoing inventory management, larger purchase requests and budget adherence. 
  • Uphold our Inward Hospitality initiative and protocols by being an active and visible manager by supporting not only the Movement Team, but other teams at Knot Springs. 
  • Create and manage the Movement team schedule, individual PTO and contingency plans. 
  • Be accountable for reporting Movement team metrics, measurables and efficiencies to the GM on a regular basis.
  • Provide creative solutions to ensure proficiency with operational flow and standards for the functionality with the Movement team.
  • Consistently evaluate group and personal training instruction via class check ins , feedback sessions and client outreach.
  • Advocate for and motivate the Movement team to bring in new clientele, meet or exceed sales goals and create opportunities for financial growth.
  • Drive personal training sales goals to meet and exceed monthly sales targets via member outreach, and marketing events. 
  • Facilitate monthly Movement department team meetings as well as individual check ins with personal training staff 
  • Support maintenance with monthly pool cleanings. 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Must be able to hold yourself accountable and have a superb grasp of timing.
  • Must be adaptive and display calm amid uncertainty.
  • 1-2 years of Personal Training and/or Group Fitness management experience
  • Personal Training Sales experience required
  • Must be excited about Knot Springs and what we offer.
  • Must be a source of inspiration for teammates and help guide their career development.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, high integrity, and be able to easily humanize others.
  • Must have clear and direct communication skills.
  • Ability to master Mindbody, G Suite, Slack, and any other applications used by Knot Springs. 
  • Must be confident in giving/receiving feedback, and tactful in time and place. 
  • Must be firmly rooted in the Portland area, and adjust travel plans to off-peak seasons.
  • Must be able to hold others accountable through clear communication and constructive feedback. 
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
  • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
  • Ability to work in wet, humid, hot and cold environments.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, labor budgets, and managing inventory.
