- Performs accounting tasks by applying GAAP to the preparation and maintenance of accounting records for the plant
- Compiles and sorts financial information to establish and maintain the standard cost and perpetual inventory systems for the plant
- Responsible for setting standards for raw material cost, labor routings and roll-ups and providing recommendations for cost efficiency
- Works on special projects regarding cost monitoring and estimating
- Prepares annual budget for manufacturing facility, reviews monthly actual cost vs. budget spending reports and discusses variances with the Plant Manager
- Bachelor's in Accounting or a related field
- 3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with cost accounting experience
- Must be proficient with Microsoft products including Excel
- Some experience with an ERP system, preferably JD Edwards or AS400
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are needed
- Solid work history, they have no interest in job hoppers
- Must be organized and meticulous
