Our client, a front-runner in developing UPS systems and battery backup power solutions, is looking to hire a Senior Electrical Engineer. This position reports directly to the VP of Engineering and plays a key role in the research and design of both new and existing power electronics product lines.
Key Proficiencies:
  • Design and analysis in DC/DC, AC/DC, and DC/AC conversions
  • PCB design utilizing Altium
  • Analog and Digital Circuit Designs
  • Use of LTSpice for simulation
  • Thermal design and analysis, including FLOW simulation
  • Understanding of various power electronics and UPS topologies
Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop electrical designs for innovative and existing product lines
  • Conduct end-to-end evaluation and testing of microcontroller-based controllers and associated software, integrating with UPS Inverter hardware
  • Experience with PIC controller and knowledge of UL924 are advantageous
  • Execute system-level testing in a lab environment
  • Exhibit flexibility, proactivity, and a drive for innovation
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment working with new technologies
  • Perform testing of electronic units and software, analyze results for performance evaluation and necessary adjustments
  • Maintain and document operation of equipment
  • Provide troubleshooting, support, and customer education regarding product usage
  • Document technical design details and maintain knowledge of the latest engineering tools
RequirementsRequirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, with a solid foundation in electrical engineering principles, power electronics, PCB layout using Altium, physics, mathematics, and statistics
  • 3-10 years of industry experience, particularly in power electronics focusing on UPS and emergency backup solutions
