Pre-Op/PACU RN Supervisor

Job Title: RN Supervisor

Department: Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)

Reports To: ASC Administrator/Director of Nursing

We are looking for a full-time Registered Nurse.

No Weekends or On-call shifts.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Pre-Op/PACU
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant Pre-Op/PACU operations.
• Team Leadership:
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate Pre-Op/PACU staff.
• Provide ongoing education and training to ensure staff competency and adherence to best practices.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Manage the inventory of Pre-Op/PACU supplies and equipment.
• Ensure timely ordering, stocking, and availability of necessary supplies.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Coordinate with surgical teams, OR staff, and other departments to ensure on-time starts and efficient patient flow.
• Communicate effectively with ASC leadership regarding departmental needs, issues, and improvements.
• Serve as a liaison between the SPD and other departments, facilitating effective communication and cooperation.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

• Qualifications

- Current RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience in IV insertion and patient care
- Familiarity with EMR and EHR systems
- Ability to work in Pre-Op/PACU and procedure room setting
- Knowledge of physiology and patient assessment
- Previous experience in OR and critical care settings

Working Conditions:

• Pre-Op/PACU area within an ASC.
