Koch Ag & Energy Solutions is currently seeking a Production Engineer for our expanding organization at Koch Fertilizer in Beatrice, NE. This position presents a promising chance for career growth and advancement across all divisions of Koch.
Our Team
Our team focuses on developing and enhancing process performance as our business seeks to deliver a full line of fertilizers designed to boost crop performance and help growers reach their yields. Working alongside our plant operations, capital projects, business capabilities, and other teams, we look to identify unit production opportunities, implement plant improvement projects, and drive innovative solutions.
What You Will Do
- Work closely with operations and reliability engineers to monitor and improve plant health
- Optimize plant production and efficiency by managing constraints and development of improvement opportunities
- Prepare and review various process engineering deliverables such as process drawings (PFD, P&ID's), equipment datasheets, heat & material balances, process line sizing calculations, hydraulic calculations, and datasheets for instruments, control valves and relief valves
- Review project engineering documents, specifications, datasheets, and designs
- Contribute to process safety and environmental performance through participation and leadership in programs supporting process hazards analysis (PHA), management of changes (MOC), and incident investigation
- Drive innovative and transformative ideas that bring us closer to the "THE PLANT OF THE FUTURE" vision
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in process controls, projects, or process safety management
- Equipment and plant design experience (relief valves, pumps, tanks, vessels, etc.)
- Internship or co-op experience in process industry/manufacturing
