Kocian Law Group is currently seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join our team. Offices are in Hartford , Manchester and New Britain Ct. Applicants must reside in the Greater Hartford area.

Responsibilities include:

· representing clients in personal injury litigation and other legal proceedings, drafting legal documents, and advising clients on legal transactions.

· Managing an assigned case load from inception to case conclusion

· Managing assigned paralegal and staff

· Settlement of cases

· Consulting with other firm attorneys on case strategies

· Participation in weekly firm meetings including statute list review, case reviews and other strategic conferences

· pre-suit activities, discovery, retention of necessary experts, reparation of witnesses for testimony, necessary motion practice and coordination of cases from start to finish

· Providing legal representation for clients, including trying cases in all courts and agencies,

· compliance with all ethical requirements for profession

Education and Experience:

• Juris Doctor Degree (JD) in Law, Member of CT Bar
• 2 years relevant plaintiff’s personal injury civil litigation, trial experience and/or agency hearing representation background.

Experience in negotiation, case management and strong interpersonal skills required.

• Excellent analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills. All staff counsel should also have the skills necessary to litigate matters in both the Superior Court as well as the Workers Compensation Commissions within the State of Connecticut as required

Required Abilities and Skills:

• Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Needles case management proficiency a plus

Pay: $80,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
