Kodak Alaris Inc. has an Opening for a Manufacturing Technician in the Kodak Alaris Manufacturing facility in Rochester, NY. This role includes assembly of document scanners, end of line product testing, and product repair.
Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the product assembly, product testing, and product repair of desktop, low-volume, and high-volume document scanners. Attention to detail is vital as we strive to have zero product defects. Our Manufacturing Technicians work in bench stations and work with hand tools and PC applications that are used for scanner testing. Our Manufacturing deliverables change frequently. The individual must be able to adapt to complete the work required on a given day. Documents will be provided to guide the Technician through the required work. Dependability and accuracy are vital traits for this role as we have product delivery dates and quality standards that must be met. In this position, you will work with a small, dedicated, team who has demonstrated a high-level of quality. The current opening is for the day shift with a starting time of 7:00am, 7:30am, or 8:00am.
Responsibilities:

• Complete Production Orders for product assembly that will include new product builds and product conversions.
• Perform product testing to include end-of-line testing. Product testing may include image quality tests to ensure the product meets the Kodak Alaris standards.
• Focus on the customer by maintaining quality service and providing exceptional delivery and results.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by workstations, and isles neat while complying with departmental and corporate standards, processes, and procedures.
• Perform inventory controls, such as cycle counting, to keep quality standards high for internal and external audits.
• Model a professional work environment that values teamwork, inclusion, and professional growth.

Required Skills:

• Proven product assembly experience.
• Proficiency in PC usage to include testing experience.
• Familiarity with electronics and mechanical devices.
• Strong problem solving and time management skills.

Desired Technical Experience:

• Experience with electronic and mechanical devices is preferred.
• Must be comfortable running software for product testing. Note, the software is not complex.
• Experience with Windows OS and internet applications to include Internet Explorer and Windows.
• Experience with Microsoft desktop applications to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Interpersonal Skills:

• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to learn processes and recommend improvements.
• Work with a focus on the delivery schedule.
• Quality focused with a “zero-defect” mentality.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate Degree with a Technology focus (preferred.)
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Ability to repeatedly bend, squat, and lift.

Notes:

• Work hours are Monday – Friday, with a start time between 7:00 am – 8:00am.
• Work location is at the Rochester Tech Park, Building 2, 777 Elmgrove Road, Rochester, NY.

Compensation: $21.00 per hour, depending on experience.
