Overview:
We are seeking candidates with at least 1 year experience in driving a Stand up/ Reach Truck Forklift Operator to join our team at our distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse. This is a vital role in our operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout the facility.
The hourly range for this position is $18.66 hourly,. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to safely load and unload materials from trucks and trailers
- Move materials within the warehouse using a forklift, ensuring proper storage and organization
- Utilize warehouse management system to track inventory and locate materials
- Perform shipping and receiving duties, including verifying shipment details and inspecting goods for damage
- Assist with order picking and preparing items for shipment
- Conduct basic math calculations to ensure accurate inventory counts
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols at all times
Skills:
- At least 1 yr Valid forklift operator certification
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts, including lift trucks and clamp trucks
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and materials handling procedures
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes in a distribution center environment
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking and calculations
- Mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance on forklifts as needed
