- Heavy machinery design and application of engineering practices that incorporate both electric and hydraulic drives
- Generate detailed drawings for manufacturing
- Project management
- Interaction with production and engineering personnel to design utilizing best practices
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required
- 3 – 7 years of engineering experience required
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software
- FEA and simulation experience preferred
- Understanding of weldments and machining tolerances
- Experience in manufacturing/machine design
- Industrial hydraulics experience preferred
- Good understanding of engineering design concepts, and material properties
- Ability to use clear, concise, and grammatically correct verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to receive and retain instructions in a productive manner; ability to prioritize, keep multiple projects and tasks on schedule
- Ability to solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Demonstrated ability to handle various tasks simultaneously, organize, prioritize, make decisions and work efficiently and effectively under deadlines
